COME,
WALK THE LABYRINTH!
On Good Friday, April 22, 2011, you are invited to come and experience walking the labyrinth at St. James from 1:00 – 3:00 pm.
A labyrinth is an ancient symbol used by Christians as a tool for meditation, prayer and spiritual reflection. At times it is confused with a maze.
Walking a labyrinth you cannot get lost and there are no dead ends…there is one way in and one way out.
We also invite you to experience other forms of prayer each Sunday throughout April during the Adult Christian Education hour. We meet at 9:30 in the fellowship hall and choose what types of prayer to experience, with the last 10 minutes of class used as sharing time.
Come join us during Lent as we journey to holiness in prayer.

As busy wives and mothers, women of today are looking for fresh and fun ways to connect with other women and with Jesus. Girlfriends Unlimited is a new approach to women's ministry that centers on bringing women together in casual, fun settings where they can meet new friends or are comfortable bring old friends. It looks different, sounds different, and feels different. It casts a new vision for reaching and connecting women in the church, one that is filled with fun and energy. Girlfriends is not affiliated with any sect or denomination. It is meant for every woman interested in connecting with other women, building relationships with each other and, ultimately, Jesus.
St. James is hosting a Girlfriends Unlimited introduction meeting on Wednesday, April 27th, beginning at 7:00 pm. Join us for an evening of food, fun, and fellowship and see what all the fuss is about!

Lunch will be available from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
To reserve a table, and for additional information, contact Betty LaBelle,
or the church office. (297-6421) Table rental space is available for $15.00 or 2 for $25.00. Reservations will be accepted no later than May 7th. In the event you do not wish to rent space, the United Methodist Women will gladly accept your donations of articles.
Lunch offerings: Sloppy Joes on a slider, potato chips, brownie, hot or cold beverages
